Caretaker Position
Maniototo Area School is looking for a Caretaker/Groundsperson to join our team.
This position will suit someone who is proactive with excellent practical and problem-solving skills. A solid knowledge of maintenance, groundskeeping and Health and Safety will be an advantage. The ideal applicant is self-motivated, prioritises tasks and communicates well.
The successful candidate needs to work within a budget, manage our school houses, liaise with contractors and manage staff.
Conditions and remuneration are according to the School Caretakers’ and Cleaners’ Collective Agreement.
This is a permanent part time position. The successful application will be required to undergo a police vet.

School Cleaner
This position will suit someone who has a keen eye for detail. School cleaners are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school. The successful candidate will be required to work 3 hours per day during term time. School holiday work and extra hours may be required by mutual agreement.
Conditions and remuneration are according to the School Caretakers’ and Cleaners’ Collective Agreement.
Duties:
Daily tasks which include vacuuming, mopping and wiping surfaces. There are additional tasks which are to be completed at the end of each term eg. windows
